Aisling Bea

Aisling bea, born in Kildare Ireland on 16 March 1984 is Ireland's richest and most famous comedian. Bea has appeared on QI along with Stephen Fry. Aisling Cliodhnadh Sullivan (born 16 March 1984) is also known as Aisling bea, is an Irish comedian actor, writer and director. Bea began her stand-up comedy career in the year 2011, following appearances as a guest on a variety of Irish TV shows as well as British series from 2009. In 2012, she was frequently appearing on sketch comedy shows and sitcoms. In 2012, after she received an award from the Edinburgh Comedy Awards (ECA) and began to be featured often in various panel programs. She has been a part of 8 Out of 10 Cats since the year 2016 and is an extremely popular contestant on its sister show 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. Her parents were Brian and Helen O'Sullivan. She has a younger sister, Sinead. In 2012, she was the first woman ever to win the So You Think You Are Funny Award. Bea was presented with the award in memory of her father. Aisling Cliodhnadh'Sullivan' was born in Kildare town County Kildare on 16 March 1984. Bea's father Brian was an equine vet, who took his own life after Bea turned three, was a sufferer of self-harm. Bea was informed of his suicide only after the age of thirteen. Her stage name Bea was in tribute to her father. She published an opinion piece in The Guardian, published in 2017 about her experiences with suicide. Bea's mom Helen, who is also an instructor for jockeys and a former professional jockey, was the one responsible for raising her and Sinead. Their family was fascinated by racing and horses. Bea was a child an instructor at the Irish National Stud. From the age of a child, Bea knew that she didn't want racing as a career. Instead she loved the performance arts.
